Netflix starting to cancel shows

Netflix Cancels Multiple Shows as Subscription Decline Continues

Netflix is cancelling multiple shows as its subscription numbers continue to decline. The streaming giant has announced that it is cancelling both “The Get Down” and “Sense8” after just one season each, and it has also stated that it may cancel “House of Cards” after its next season. This comes as Netflix’s stock prices have taken a plunge in recent months, with the company losing over 3 million subscribers in the last quarter alone. So why is Netflix struggling? There are several possible explanations: Netflix’s pricing may be too high compared to its competitors, or its selection of original programming may not be appealing enough to keep subscribers hooked. Whatever the reason, Netflix needs to address these issues if it wants to stay afloat in the increasingly competitive streaming market.

The Amazon Fire TV Sticks

Streaming sticks are also on sale right now, particularly on Amazon. Amazon is now discounting the older Fire TV Stick 4K, which comes with the third-generation Alexa control, by 50%. Normally $50, you can get one for $25 right now, the device’s lowest price to date. It’s not as powerful as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (which is now on sale for $35 instead of $55), but it’s still speedy and supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR10 Plus, and HDR10. Check out our review.

Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K comes with 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, HDR, and HDR10 Plus support, as well as an Alexa-enabled voice remote that works with most TVs. Its audio output is also capable of Dolby Atmos, and it is compatible with Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Prime Video, and all of the main providers.

It’s not clear how much longer Netflix can keep increasing its prices without losing more subscribers.

The company is already facing stiff competition from other streaming services like Hulu and Amazon Prime, and if it keeps raising its prices, it could price itself out of the market.

Only time will tell how this all plays out. But one thing is for sure: Netflix’s days of unchecked growth are over. Thanks for reading!
